Lifting and Moving System for Press Handling
ALFATEC developed a specially adapted lifting and transport system with a robust four-axis system for the efficient feeding of two automatic press lines.
The most important information at a glanc
A four-axis heavy-duty system over 25 meters in length that moves workpieces weighing up to 2.25 tons precisely and reliably. The system travels at 1 m/s, lifts at 0.1 m/s, and rotates the workpieces up to 180°.

The particular challenge was to ensure very high positioning accuracy of ±0.5 mm while maintaining an extremely high load capacity. The axes were specially designed to achieve a repeatability of ±1 mm:
– X-axis via rack and ball screw guides
– Y-axis via rack and ball screw guides
– Z-axis via ball screw and recirculating ball guides
– C-axis via swivel-rotary connection
An integrated central lubrication system ensures low-maintenance operation and guarantees high system availability.
