The telescopic solution was developed by ALFATEC to pick up containers from a runway using a special gripper. A particular challenge is the application in the food sector. For example, the special gripper and other assemblies were manufactured to be food-safe. The gripper has a weighing device that determines the weight of the container.

Due to the limited space available, a lean and efficient solution was required. Despite the conditions, a solution was developed that achieves a lift path of 3,600 mm with a retracted height of 2,285 mm.

Using ALFATEC guide units from the ALFATEC linear guide system, a safe and low-backlash design was guaranteed.
