Efficient Lifting System With Integrated Chain Conveyor
The most important information at a glanc
When developing technical solutions for industry, we at ALFATEC place particular emphasis on making work processes not only more efficient, but also more ergonomic. This was also the goal of our project for a manufacturer of anodised aluminium profiles. The aim was to develop a solution that would enable aluminium profiles to be handled ergonomically and efficiently before and after the anodising process – both horizontally and vertically.

The task of the lifting system on site
The task was therefore to design a lifting system that would ensure efficient and ergonomic handling of the crossbeams carrying the anodized aluminum components. Our custom solution consists of two lifting masts, each with an integrated chain conveyor.

Why do you need an integrated chain conveyor?
By integrating a chain conveyor, the lifting system now not only enables the cross beams to be lifted and lowered vertically, but also allows them to be moved horizontally along the production line. This means that the cross beams can be transported precisely to the various work stations and the anodised parts can be picked up in parallel, which increases the efficiency of the material flow within production and reduces any downtime to a minimum.

Lifting system for an ergonomic working height
In addition, the ability to position the crossbars precisely at an ergonomic working height reduces physical strain on employees and ensures compliance with safety standards. The lifting system offers the flexibility to adapt to different working environments. By combining a hydraulic lifting mast and electrically driven chain conveyors, the system ensures smooth and safe material handling that adapts to the respective conditions.
Maximum efficiency thanks to integrated chain conveyor
The integration of the chain conveyor now allows up to three cross beams to be picked up and moved simultaneously, significantly optimising the workflow. This reduces waiting times between individual processing steps and speeds up the production process overall. It enables the continuous feeding and removal of materials, which is particularly advantageous in high-volume production environments or during production peaks.
Sophisticated safety concept: dead man’s switch and pre-positioning
A key aspect of the project was the comprehensive safety concept we implemented. This includes a dead man’s switch, which ensures that the system is only operated when the operator is physically present and active. This safety device is particularly important as it helps to prevent accidents in the event that the operator is incapacitated due to an emergency. In addition, the system was equipped with further safety devices such as inclination and synchronisation monitoring, which ensure safe and ergonomic working conditions.

Improved workflow and certified machine safety
By implementing this customised handling system, we were able to significantly increase the efficiency and ergonomics of material handling in the processing of anodised aluminium profiles for our customer. In addition, the CE mark with which the lifting system has been certified confirms compliance with the applicable European directives and standards for machine safety and health protection. By integrating these safety precautions and certifications, the lifting system not only offers efficient material handling, but also maximum safety for operators and production processes.
