Area of application and function
The special design is used as an ‘RBG robot’ between two shelves and moves components back and forth. Hot parts are placed on the shelf to cool down and then returned to the manufacturing process once they have cooled. The environment is very dirty, which means that the guides and drive components require permanent protection.
Scope of services
The robot, with a reach of over 2.8 m, extends far beyond the drive axle. At the same time, it must precisely move a load of 3,000 kg at a speed of 1.5 m/s over a distance of 11.5 m.
Technical implementation
The X-axis is driven by a helical, hardened and ground rack and equipped with precision guides. This ensures that the seventh axis meets the robot’s high positioning requirements.
The travel carriage is individually adapted to the customer’s robot and is precisely positioned using screw connections and form-fit elements. A central lubrication system ensures low-maintenance operation and high process availability.
