Telescopic Stacking Crane
The telescopic solution from ALFATEC is a central component of a stacking crane and enables the precise handling of round steel. The guided design prevents the load from swinging, which efficiently reduces process times.
The most important information at a glanc
The telescopic solution combines high load capacity, flexible length adjustment and compact design to transport round bars safely, precisely and in a space-saving manner.
Features
Area of application | stacking crane for round steel handling |
Material lengths | 3,5 to 18 metres |
Construction | three synchronous telescopic slides |
Telescope in figures
30 tons | max. load capacity |
4,7 m | height |
9,9 m | extended length |
Area of application and function
The solution is used as a stacking crane for handling round steel. Materials with varying lengths from 3,5 to 18 metres and diameters up to 650 mm are transported. The guided design prevents the load from swinging, making the process safer and faster.
Special requirements
The solution operates in a confined space, so efficient use of space is essential. At the same time, the telescopic solution must be able to handle loads of up to 30 tonnes. The C-axis has a rotary joint with a diameter of over 2,5 metres and enables 360° rotation.
Technical implementation
Three synchronously extending and retracting telescopic slides achieve an extended length of 9.9 metres with a low overall height of 4.7 metres. ALFATEC guide units from the linear guide system ensure safe, precise and low-backlash operation.
